During June 2014 I visited Alaska. I was based in Anchorage the first few days, then drove north to Fairbanks, stopping along the way at various airfields.

Alaska is home to a varied collection of aircraft types and for the propliner fan such as myself a fairly large amount of prop activity can still be seen.

In this gallery can be found some of the results from my travels.

The people up there are very friendly and accommodating and I would recommend visiting Alaska should the chance arise and not just for the aircraft.
