RAF Northolt is one of the oldest remaining RAF airfields left in the UK. It actually came into being in 1915 and was therefore used by the RFC so can actually claim to be older than the RAF itself, which was formed on 1st April 1918. It is located on the outskirts of London in the borough of Hillingdon.
I have been and am fortunate enough to be able to attend a limited number of night time photo shoots held at RAF Northolt over the last few years. The number of aircraft that are invited to attend is limited and can come from various air forces throughout Europe. In this gallery you can view some of the results from these photo shoots. Hopefully more will be added as future shoots happen.
