While in Bangkok we stayed at the Phoenix hotel. From here the aircraft can be seen approaching on both runways. Photographs are only possible when the runway nearest the hotel is in use and even then there is only an hour or so to do this due to shooting into the sun. This of course gives a very bland background sky.
Bangkok Suvarnabhumi is now the main international airport. While Thai International dominate, most of their movements are during the night. A large contingent of Chinese and Vietnamese airlines operate into here along with Bangkok Airways and Thai Smile.
