A three day visit to Madrid airport at the end of March 2018, produced the following photographs.

Viewing was done from the 'mound' near Terminal 4. From here most of the airport can be seen. The only problems are heat ripple and obstacles such as lamp posts along the fence line. Photography is best in the afternoon as the sun moves round and the light improves.

Having a car isn't necessary but it is useful. Most of the main Spanish airlines can be seen here in numbers along with a few South American airlines that don't come into the UK, plus all the usual European airlines.
