Brooklands, situated at Weybridge in Surrey, was once the first purpose built motor racing circuit in England. It was built in 1907 and went on to become an important part of motoring as well as English aviation. Vickers aircraft moved here and built many of Englands well known aircraft, from the Wellington bomber to the VC-10 passenger aircraft.
Today, it is home to an aviation and motor museum. During the year it regularly holds motoring days and aviation events. Also in the grounds here now is the London Bus Museum.
As I visit here quite often, I decided to take photographs of the surviving structures and these can be seen in this gallery.
