The museum at Hermeskeil was the third aviation museum visited while on a long weekend in Germany. It is about two hours from Frankfurt and only about 14 miles from the Luxembourg boarder. If anyone is within striking distance of this museum I would highly recommend a visit.

This was by far the larger museum as far as aircraft were concerned and is home to a great variety of aircraft from the West and the East. Hopefully there will be something for everyone in this gallery

Aircraft shown in this gallery with their registrations/serial in 'quotes' are fake numbers. Those that appear to have a joint Western/Soviet serial, I am assuming they were allocated western serial when Germany was re-united but never actually had them painted onto the aircraft. A paper exercise in fact.
