My first trip to Brooklands Museum for 2016 was to attend the Austin/Morris day. Not having been to an Austin/Morris day before I wasn’t sure what to expect in the turn out of vehicles. As it happened there was a large turn out of both vintage and contemporary cars on display.
The strange part for me was seeing cars I had grown up with or at some point in my driving career actually owned examples of the type of cars that were on display. Especially seeing an Austin 1100 having learnt to drive in one and then having a Wolesley 1100 as my first car. It makes one feel old when you see what you considered everyday cars now showing up at classic and historic displays.
